400+ Ilmians attend annual dinner and ghazal night
April 6, 2013
 
This spring, the Ilmians Network Executive Body and Office of Alumni organized the “Annual Alumni Dinner and Ghazal Night on April 6, 2013 for UMT alumni at the Pearl Continental Hotel, Lahore. Renowned ghazal maestro Amanat Ali performed live before the captive audience.

Ilmians Annual Homecoming has become a tradition of UMT. More than 400 ILM/UMT alumni along with their families turned up for the get-together and spent time with Rector UMT Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad, faculty and staff. The colorful evening also served as special networking session.The  ceremony was organized to acknowledge the contribution of ILM/UMT alumni in their professional fields and to welcome them to their alma mater.

Rana Iftikhar Ahmad, Director OPA, welcomed the guests. Rector UMT Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad interacted with UMT alumni and said, “You should be mutually caring. Because as you are one family you can support each other, must make local and global chapters, you need to really mobilize yourself”.

Ijlal Jaffery, President, Ilimians Network, represented Ilmians Network Executive Body and gave special note of thanks to the parent institution (UMT) and UMT alumni community. Many gifts were distributed among alumni in Lucky Dip segment.

Earlier, the program initiated with the national anthem followed by recitation of some verses from the Holy Quran.

At the end dinner was served to the guests.
