Supply Chain Congress 2012 was organized by Global Research and Faclilitation Council (GRFC) in collaboration with Center for Supply Chain Research (CSCR) at Royal Palm Golf and Country Club, Lahore.
More than 150 supply chain professionals from all over Pakistan participated in the congress. About 16 speakers presented their research papers. The speakers included Jamil Ahmed, CEO, Vision Logistics, Ijaz Yusuf, Director, CSCR University of Management and Technology, Moin Malik, CEO, Agility Logistics (former Chairman PIFFA), Albert A. A Jager, Former Vice President Logistics Operations, Yamaha, Babar Badat, Senior Vice President FIATA and CEO ECU Line, Tariq Chaudhry, CEO Dynamic Logistics and Member Executive Board PIFFA, Ahmed Sharjeel, Supply Chain and Logistics Manager, Coca Cola Export Corporation, Sakhi Muhammad, Senior Instructor of Pakistan Customs, Javaid Mansoor, Executive Secretary, National Trade & Transport Facilitation Committee (NTTFC), Brigadier Dr Riaz, CEO BinQutab Foundation, and Abid Hussain, General Manager Pakistan Institute of Management & Lead Instructor of Supply Chain Management Diploma.
The objective of this congress was not only to disseminate the knowledge on various areas of Supply Chain but to develop practical solutions to problems encountered by the business community relative to the management of the total supply chain. It is good for Logistics Industry to use this platform effectively and to exchange their viewpoints; share the best practices of the industry for continuous improvement and help the businessmen to grow and country to flourish.
The session ended with the announcement of GRFC Supply Chain Excellence Awards 2013 by Abiha Syed. Touqir Lodhi, CEO GRFC, wrapped up the event by thanking the participants for being a part of Supply Chain Congress 2012.
