Mental Health Day (11th October, 2022, Tuesday)

CLINICAL COUNSELLING CENTER, School of Professional Psychology, SPP, UMT organized One-Day event related to Mental Health Day on 11th October, 2022 (9am to 5:30pm) with the collaboration of Office of Participants Affairs (OPA, UMT). The purpose of this event was to spread awareness and expunge the taboo related to mental health by breaking the stigma attached to it. 1) the inaugural of influential event 2) Inter-university Drama/Play Competition and 3) Inter-University Poster/Model competition related to mental health to grab the attention and make the event widespread among the community. Renowned and venerated, Chief Guest Mr. Kamran Lashari (Retired-CSP-22 (Grade), Director General, Walled City of Lahore Authority), esteemed Guest of Honor Dr. Asif Raza (Rector UMT), respected Dr. Naushaba Hasan Murad (WILL Chairperson, UMT), and along with distinguished guests, namely Prof. Dr. Urusa Fahim, (Academic Dean, Kinnard College for Women), Dr. Iram Zahra Bukharey (Chief Clinical Psychology, Mayo Hospital), Dr. Ayesha Asghar (Registered Psychological Associate, California, USA), and Ms. Uzma Ashiq (Clinical Counselor at PAHCHAAN and Project Managing with UNICEF on Mental Health) graced the event with their influential, thought-provoking, and inspiring perspectives. The Guest of Honor was ushered towards the Poster/Model Competition by the students. Judges of Poster/Model competition the announced the winners after due deliberation. In the last segment of Drama/Play Competition, various universities/colleges performed, namely FAST, GCU, PU, MAO College, Gulberg College, and University of South Asia and their performance was appraised by distinguished judges, namely Ms. Shireen Asad, Dr. Mirrat Gul, Mr. Main Javed, and Mr. Haseeb Khan (Actor & Writer). This one-day event was perhaps efficaciously concluded by the chief guest, guest of honor, distinguished guests, esteemed judges, and community.
