An Interactive Seminar on "Decision Making in International Development Organization"

The Executive Forum and Managic (Professional Development Club) jointly conducted an interactive seminar on “Decision Making in International Development Organization”. Dr Basharat Ali was invited as the keynote speaker. Dr Basharat has a PhD in Higher Education Administration. He has years of experience as a development professional and an educator in the United States, Pakistan, Yemen, Thailand, Egypt, Ukraine, Moldova and Iraq. He has formally been associated with the USAID, and has also served as Dean, Faculty of Education at the University of Education. He brings extensive experience as a consultant and strategic planner.

The seminar was attended by distinguished faculty members of HSM including Naveeda Ketchlew, CoD Management, Aly Raza Syed, Director, Executive MBA Program, Imran Abkar, Assistant Professor, Mohsin Rauf, Assistant Professor, Farooq Omer, Assistant Professor, Khurram Shahzad, Lecturer, Khawar Sultana, Senior Research Associate, Hamza Masood, Coordinator, Management Department, and Malik Muhammad Arif, Program Coordinator, Executive MBA.

Dr Basharat Ali delivered an enlighten talk on decision making framework of international development organization US-AID. He described how development assistance is used to enhance foreign policy objectives. He also highlighted development priorities for the next 3-5 years, formulation of regional and country development strategies, review and approval process, congressional oversight, country program management, management tools, allocation of program and operational resources, decision making delegated to the lowest level, compliance with policy, mandatory clauses, rules and regulations.

After the presentation by the learned speaker, the house opened for an interactive question and answer session.
High achievers ceremony
At the end of the seminar, a ceremony was conducted to give letters of appreciation to high achievers based on CGPA in the Executive MBA Program. The following participants of Executive MBA were awarded in this ceremony:

The ceremony concluded by sum-up talk and a vote of thanks to all audience, faculty, and the distinguished speaker by Aly Raza Syed, Director, Executive MBA Program.
