SPA arranges Hi-Tea

The School of Professional Advancement (SPA) arranged a Hi-Tea for students and faculty members with a view to improve communication, listen to the problems of students, and to enhance networking between them and the management. Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad, Rector UMT, Dr A R Kausar, Pro-Rector UMT, Dr Sarwar Azhar, Dean HSM, Dr Naveed Yazdani, Director SPA, faculty members of SPA and students attended the event. Addressing on the occasion, Dr Yazdani welcomed the worthy guests and presented a brief overview of SPA.
 
Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad, Rector UMT, addressed the participants. He observed that such events should be held on weekly basis to enhance networking. He suggested that alumni should be invited to such events so that they share their valuable experiences with all those present. He emphasized on the need to enhance professional networking and switch to experiential teaching. He said that assessment methodologies should be changed as well.
 
Dr A R Kausar, Pro-Rector UMT, also addressed on the occasion. He emphasized on 3 Cs, i.e. Competence, Character and Community, which students are required to create in themselves. He said that SPA programs are specially designed to enhance the professional capabilities of working professionals in their mid-career.
 
In the end, students shared their problems and queries with the management. Later, Hi-Tea was served to all those present.
