Dr A R Kausar inaugurates art exhibition by BTFD-ITIS students

Dr A R Kausar, Pro-Rector UMT, inaugurated an art exhibition organized by participants of all four  batches of Bachelor of Textile Fashion and Design (BTFD), Institute of Textile and Industrial Sciences (ITIS). A total of fifty artists displayed variety of paintings and fabric work covering a wide range of subjects using mixed mediums such as charcoal sketches, dry and oil pastels, poster paints, mirror water painting, Tie and dye, block printing, screen printing and embroidery. The purpose of the exhibition was to enhance the appreciation of BTFD among the students, especially the upcoming batch.

Giving his remarks in the comment book, Dr A Rashid Kausar said that the artwork displayed in the exhibition is creative and depicts the true colors of life; it should be showcased properly so that outsiders also catch a glimpse of the potential of our students. He congratulated the course instructors Alvina Fatima, S Sidra Batool and Adil Masood, and all the organizers for holding the exhibition.

Dr Nabeel Amin, Director, ITIS congratulated the team for their remarkable work. While writing his comments, he expressed his hope that such activities would be carried out  in the future as well.

Dr Nabeel also presented the best painting of the exhibition to Dr A R Kausar. The participants were given prizes and certificates of appreciation by Dr Nabeel Amin on the conclusion of the two-day event.

Faculty members and students from Hunerkada, PIFD, LUMS and NCA attended the exhibition and appreciated the artwork. The exhibition was also well attended by UMT students, staff and faculty members, and the general public. The visitors were impressed by the talent and creativity of the artists.
