The School of Professional Advancement (SPA) organized a one-day workshop for female entrepreneurs to enhance their potential to remain competitive in the market. The workshop was organized in collaboration with the Women Empowerment Foundation and the Freidrich Naumann Stiftung.
The workshop covered major issues faced by women while starting out on their businesses such as sharpening leadership skills, creating effective communication strategies and building brands. Participants also gained an understanding of business information systems and the exports/imports process. The workshop was attended by participants from Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority (SMEDA), Shirkat Gah and a number of UMT students with a keen focus on becoming entrepreneurs. At the end of the workshop, Ruhi Sayid, Chairperson APWA, distributed certificates among the participants.
