UMT Book Fair 2010
November 10 - 11, 2010
 

Library & Learning Center at UMT  organized a two days Book Fair -2010 at UMT with the help of leading Book Sellers of Lahore. It turned to be an attractive opportunity for books lovers out of students, faculty, staff and community as they thronged the venue and showed their interest by buying variety of books at discounted prices. Chief Library Officer (CLO)  Ch Muhammad Anwar and his team worked day and night to make it a success.


The event was inaugurated by Dr. Sajjad H. Shami,Professor , Electrical Engineering Department School of Science and Technology. Leading Books Sellers had brought a variety of books on management, banking, accounts, technology, social sciences and linguistics as well as poetry, drama and comics. Dr Hasan Sohiab Murad, Rector UMT,  visited the book fair and shared his mind with students and faculty on the significance of books in modern age of web-tec. He appreciated the efforts of CLO and his team by preserving the culture of spreading knowledge through books.

 In a separate ceremony, he awarded souvenirs to participating Books Sellers as a token of recognition for their services  and cooperation. The event was covered by national press and electronic media also.
