Annual Alumni Dinner

This spring, the Office of Alumni and Ilmians Network Executive Body organized the Annual Alumni Dinner on April 5, 2014 at UMT Campus, Lahore. More than 300 ILM/UMT alumni along with their families turned up for the get-together and spent time in this splendid evening. This colorful evening also served as special networking session. The ceremony was organized to acknowledge the contribution of ILM/UMT alumni in their professional fields and to welcome them to their alma mater.
Welcoming the distinguished guests, Abid H K Shirwani, Director External Affairs, said that ILM/UMT is proud of its alumni who are the best ambassadors of the values of professionalism, leadership and ethical standards of their alma mater. He also distributed souvenirs to the event partners and sponsors.
Rana Iftikhar Ahmad, Director OPA, had personal one to one interaction with the alumni. He added: “You should be mutually caring. Because as you are one family you can support each other, must make local and global chapters, you need to really mobilize yourself”.
Ijlal Jaffery, President, Ilimians Network, represented Ilmians Network Executive Body and gave special note of thanks to the parent institution (UMT) and UMT alumni community.
Earlier, the program initiated with the national anthem followed by recitation of some verses from the Holy Quran. Among the many sources of entertainment for the evening was Award Winning Drama performed by “Back Benchers”. After that, a thrilling live instrumental performance of “Three Musketeers” created an aura in the atmosphere. An interesting aspect of the evening was an interactive comedy session by Zohaib Azhar with the alumni during which gifts were presented to them as a reward for giving correct answers to questions.
Sajid ur Rehman, Manager Alumni Affairs, Muhammad Asad Najeeb, Assistant Manager OPA, managed the evening. At the end lavish, dinner was served to the guests.
