Seminar: Dyeing advancements

The Department of Textiles, School of Science and Technology (SST), arranged a seminar on dyeing advancements for the textile students. The proceedings began with the welcome address by Dr Nabeel Amin, Incharge, Department of Textiles, SST, who thanked the honorable guests Thomas Mende, and Nadeem-ul-Haq for gracing the occasion with their presence.

Thomas has 30 years of experience in dyeing and processing. He gave an overview on the global dye house situation and discussed the robotics used in the industry with a series of machines like Thies Yarn Dyeing Machine, Thies Fabric Dyeing Machine, Ecomasin, Luft Roto Plus SII, Heat Recovery Equipment, Plant Automation and Colormatic. A wide range of information and books were also offered to the textile students.

Later, Dr Sarwar Rana, Assistant Professor SST, thanked the participants for attending this seminar and invited Dr Nabeel Amin and S M Qutab to present souvenirs to the distinguished guests as a gesture of appreciation for taking the time from their busy schedules to visit UMT.
