School of Textile and Design organized seminar on Applicable Standard for Apparel Industry. M. Waseem Khaliq, Principal Compliance Agent Managing Partner, presented lecture on applicable standards that are being developed for apparel industry. These included social compliance standards, quality management system, ISO 9001, technical assessment by different EU, US based customers, custom trade partnership against terrorism, product safety certification, OEKO TEX certification, global organic textile standard, REACH and RSTS.
