Lecture on role of families in the rehabilitation of psychiatric illness
April 26, 2013

Zubia Iqbal, clinical psychologist from the Fountain House, Lahore, delivered a very informative lecture on "The Role of Families in the Rehabilitation of Psychiatric Illness”. She highlighted the problems of family awareness about patient problems and how to manage them at home. Such awareness in the part of family can preclude the possibility of relapse and ensure continued progress. The session was very interactive. Clinical psychology trainees asked a number of questions of varying interest generating useful discussion.

At the end, Usman Rashid, psychologist at the Fountain House, Lahore, added his own views and shared his experiences with the audience.

Dr Zahid Mahmood, Chairperson, Department of Clinical Psychology, UMT, summarized the discussion with the note of thanks.
