Dr A R Kausar, Pro-Rector UMT, visits Gulf States

Dr A R Kausar, Pro-Rector UMT, visited Dubai, Muscat and Doha to project the University as one of the leading institutions of higher education in Pakistan and to encourage the expatriate Pakistani community as well as foreign students to pursue education at UMT. He was accompanied by Muhammad Taufeeq, Head, Office of Information and Admissions.

Presentations in UAE
Dr A R Kausar made presentations’ to the students of senior sections in many institutions located in UAE. He met with the faculty and top management to discuss the issues that students generally face while pursuing higher education after completing their 12th grade examination. This open discussion and ensuing debate proved a blessing for all stakeholders present there. It presented an excellent opportunity to them to shape their future and to excel in their careers. A good intake for Fall 2012 is anticipated as a result of these sessions. Students asked many questions to further enrich themselves with the details provided to them and to access the desired academic disciplines.

Presentations in Muscat-Oman
In Muscat, presentation was made in Pakistan International School Muscat and a meeting was arranged with Chairman BoG, Pakistani Schools in Oman. These sessions paved the way for an expected high intake from Oman. The presentations were attended by the students and faculty members. The meeting with the Principal was quiet useful for future prospects. The principal gave an assurance that he would do his level best to promote UMT. He further assured the UMT delegation that UMT promotional material would be placed on display in the Career Fair scheduled for January 25 to increase awareness about UMT and its programs, faculty, linkages, rankings, scholarships and facilities.

The meeting with the Chairman BoG presented a good opportunity to share with him the potential of UMT so that the information regarding academic disciplines and facilities could be disseminated effectively to all concerned. 

Presentations in Doha-Qatar
There is a sizeable Pakistani community working in various capacities in Doha-Qatar. The visit to Doha was another assurance for a better intake in the next admissions campaign. Dr A R Kausar met with the top management of different schools and gave presentations to senior students in various institutions. He also answered their questions. The student flow from Doha is increasing with every passing year and UMT has already got quality students from this part of the world.

The Impact
Dr Kausar conducted a series of presentations for senior school overseas Pakistani students. He drove home the point that UMT matches international standards of education while offering a fee structure and scholarships that make it possible for the best and the brightest students from all segments of society to pursue higher education at the University. He also met with the faculty, principals and Chairmen BoGs to share with them the latest academic, career and partnership options available to them to help potnetial students rise in their respective areas of studies and business. Hundreds of interested participants gathered at every venue to listen to Dr Kausar who has built an international stature as an authority on knowledge sharing and personality development.

As a consequence of the un-paralleled efforts of the Pro-Rector, UMT is now a recognizable name in the Pakistani community many of whom are considering it as a viable option for  higher education of their children. Dr Kausar has succeeded in establishing a strong network of UMT loyalists who are working on an honorary basis to promote the University.
