Jahanzeb Ali Akhtar, GM production at Century Paper and Board Mills, gave a comprehensive lecture on paper and board industry in Pakistan to the class of “Seminar in Industrial Surveys” in the Dr Hasan Murad School of Management (HSM). He dealt at length on issues of product specifications, technology, raw material availability, and demand by various sectors. While handling questions from the audience, he explained consumption trends, problems faced by industry, and quality and environment control strategies. He also invited participants to visit Century Paper and Board Mills for obtaining a realistic picture of the dynamics under which the mills are proactively endeavoring to meet the challenges of the future.
